The Event
The TREE Fund is proud to announce that STIHL Inc. will once again serve as the title sponsor for the 2010 Tour des Trees. With the help of our friends in Illinois and Iowa, the 2010 STIHL Tour des Trees is a scenic mix of urban and rural riding.
Starting with an official kick-off in Chicago and with a grand finale ending back in Chicago at the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) International Tree Climbing Championship and annual conference, there will be many opportunities throughout the Tour to emphasize the role that research and education play in the health of our community trees. Join us for fantastic scenery, terrain, camaraderie and a great cause!
Rider registration is now open and the web site is continually updated with more information on overnight, break and lunch locations, as well as public education and tree planting events.

How it Works
The Tour des Trees is the TREE Fund's largest fundraising event and we are pleased that our title sponsor for the 2010 Tour is STIHL Inc. Not only a fundraiser for vital research, the Tour is also a public awareness event that spreads the word for the need for research to keep urban trees and forests healthy. Each participant is asked to commit to raising a minimum of $3,500 for the entire 7 days (or $600 per day for part-time participants) and to participate in the media and public awareness events that are planned along the Tour route.
